Random questions to myself

Hi everyone! First day of lockdown (again) is soon over and I haven’t been able to see or do anything overly exciting. That’s why I have created a list of random questions for me to answer this Tuesday evening!

Favourite candy?

My family says I have the worst taste when it comes to candy, but of course I beg to differ. My candy bowl contains of salty liquorice, super sours, chewy chocolate, long lasting blueberry balls and Fazer. Yummy!

What’s your biggest screw up in the kitchen?

I ALWAYS screw up any kind of pancakes. I have completely given up trying to make banana pancakes since they always turn out as scrambled banana pancakes instead 🙁

What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?

My family tricked me, my sister and cousins that there was a troll living in the forest close to my grandparents house. The name of the troll was Lurventuss and he would leave gifts for us children in the forest. Apparently my grandfather and uncle took turns dressing up as a troll and running around in the forest hiding gifts for us kids.

Where’s your favourite place to get take away or delivery from?

Hmm my favourite take away place in Brisbane is probably Punjabi Palace because of their wacky Wednesdays ($12.95 for a curry) and the location. The garlic naan is so tasty but the burps are dangerous even a couple of hours after consumption… My favourite take away places in Borås are Indien Huset (indian food), Spice & Rice (thai food) and Eest (sushi).

What song do you play most often?

Hmm I guess the song I play the most unfortunately is my alarm song? Otherwise, the typical songs I listen to kind of looks like the screenshot below.

What is the most interesting thing you have on you or near you right now?

Jarryd is sitting next to me in the sofa watching the Formula 1 documentary on Netflix while working. I guess it’s kind of interesting how someone voluntarily want to drive one of those death machines.

What weird food combinations do you really enjoy?

There are many Swedish food combinations I absolutely love! Sandwich with eggs and caviar. Kebab on pizza. Mmmmh.

What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

Labyrinth is one of those movies I never get tired of! It has trolls, David Bowie and a talking worm. What else do you need?

What are some red flags to watch out for in daily life?

Sneezing. Unexplained weight loss or fatigue. Unnecessary drama. Not feeling any joy for the things you usually love doing. Not speaking with family or friends for a long period time. Old rice or pasta.

What “old person” things do you do?

I watch Antiques Roadshow (best show ever!) and I love waking up between 5-5:30am on weekends. I nap anytime I get the chance and I love visiting old historical places. I think driving is scary and I love GIFs.

What mythical creature do you wish actually existed?

Trolls. Forest trolls, mountain trolls, all trolls!

If you were a ghost and could possess people, what would you make them do?

Changing the channel and adjusting the volume on the TV when Jarryd and I are sitting down in the sofa. We still don’t have a remote and have to get up to press the buttons on the actual TV.

What game have you spent the most hours playing?

World of Warcraft together with my mum, sister and cousins. And Dungeons and Dragons. Very nerdy but so much fun! I’ve also been playing a lot of board games as well such as Carcassone, Lords of Waterdeep, Dominion and Stone Age.

What was the last song you sang along to?

Rocketman!

How comfortable are you speaking in front of large groups of people?

100% uncomfortable and will 100% avoid this. I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable with public speaking but that’s OK. Uhhh now I started sweating just thinking about it….

What’s the silliest thing you’ve seen someone get upset about?

When my friend genuinely got upset about the amount of heart emojis in a text message from his girlfriend (if you read this, you know who you are haha).

What was the best thing that happened to you today?

The walk by the river after work was probably the best thing today. It’s better to keep expectations low during lockdown hehe. Oh and finding the frozen leftovers in the freezer is probably also somewhere in the top 3 of best things happening today.

What will I eat for Easter?

Eggs, herring, salmon, meatballs, potatoes, salads and soooo much candy!

What’s about to get much better?

Hopefully everything!!!

Hiking and photography at Mt Coot-Tha

Hi all! Here’s a video from my hike in Mt Coot-Tha last Saturday. I took the opportunity to try my new smartphone tripod (it had to endure water for this video). Enjoy the beautiful forest, the creeks, the amazing animals and amazing view of the city of Brisbane in Queensland.
Please feel free to follow my Youtube channel if you want to see all my videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX5XgUZa7KoqbJs12z9Iexw
