Spring has finally arrived in Sweden and so has the cranes! The Hornborga lake outside of Falköping is the hot spot for the migratory cranes and we saw 10.000 of these noisy, dancing loving birds. People from every corner of Europe come here during the early spring weeks to watch this spectacular gathering. Every Swede knows about the Cranes at the Hornborga lake, but this was actually my first visit. I was surprisingly touched by the cranes. They have one partner for life. They migrate long distances every year. And lastly, their potato eating and mating dances at Hornborga lake make cold and winter-tired Swedes extremely happy. Thank you cranes for coming back year after year. You bring the spring with you and we are very grateful for this!
