To celebrate surviving a long distance relationship for a whole year, Jarryd decided to take me to Mount Tamborine. We stayed at a B&B called Avocado Sunset where we had a beautiful view over the valley. Since it is winter here in Australia, it gets very cold during the nights, and in our room we had one of the things I have been longing for the most since I got back to Brisbane. A fireplace! Very romantic, but most importantly, very very necessary for survival these cold times.
We did two hikes during our stay. First we went to Curtis Falls, which I think is one of the most popular hikes in the area. The day after, we did a hike the B&B hosts recommended, but unfortunately neither Jarryd or I remember the name of that jungle stroll.

Curtis Falls.
Palm trees, palm trees and palm trees.
Beautiful pool, but cold as ice.
Dip a toe in the water, and the toe will hate you.
The second day we made it to this cliff/usually being a waterfall? It felt like we had travelled back in time when the Tasmanian tigers and gigantic kangaroos still existed.
